one summer, three temperatures.

the ss26 image catalogue is buffalo's seasonal argument, made in print. it ships to distributors and retail partners before the season lands, and circulates inside the company as the reference for what the season is. two audiences, one object — it has to sell a range and define a mood at once.

the brief was a lookbook. it needed to be a magazine. a product list tells you what exists; a narrative tells you why you'd want it. so the season is staged as a story in three chapters, each one a different temperature.

TURN UP THE HEAT — the spark. hard light, concrete, tile. attitude that can't be contained. the book opens loud: tight crops, full-bleed images, type at maximum scale.

GO WITH THE FLOW — the ease. sand, water, the middle of the day. rhythm takes over and style becomes instinct. the spreads open up here, white space enters, the pace drops.

EMBRACE THE GLOW — the afterglow. golden hour, long shadows, the season settling into itself. the book closes quiet.

the chapters aren't section dividers. they set the tempo of the whole book — crop, scale, pace and negative space all shift with the temperature.

product sits inside the story, not beside it. campaign photography and close-ups share the same spreads, so a platform sandal reads as part of a look rather than as a catalogue entry. chapter titles are set as stacked display type, oversized and rotated against the images, with the copy blocks kept small and quiet underneath — the typography carries the volume so the photography doesn't have to compete.
